
The Professional Football League has announced the rescheduling of the matches suspended this Sunday night during the 2025 Apertura Tournament. The match between Banfield and Independiente, as well as that of Platense against Defensa y Justicia, corresponding to the eighth round of the tournament, had to be interrupted due to intense rains in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires.
At the time of the suspension, Banfield and Independiente were tied with no goals at the Estadio Florencio Sola, with the match interrupted 22 minutes before the end. Meanwhile, Defensa y Justicia held a 1-0 lead as visitors against Platense, thanks to a goal from Matías Miranda in the 11th minute.
The continuation of these matches has been scheduled by the Professional Football League. Banfield and Independiente will complete their match next Tuesday at 19:30. The duel will resume with two halves of 11 minutes each, without a break. On the other hand, Platense and Defensa y Justicia will also face each other on Tuesday, but starting at 20:00. The match will consist of two halves of 32 minutes with a 15-minute break in between.
